To be a computer programmer is work that is getting more popular over the years. It can be because of the development and uses of new technologies; Smartphones, tablets, laptops including your light bulb, are smart. But How is it possible? It’s simple, with the help of programming. Programming can be a little difficult when you are starting. But as time goes by you will realize that it is not something from another world. And today I am going to say to you. What you need to start programming your next videogame, computer program or website.
What do I need to Start Programming?
It’s a question that I asked me when I was some years ago. I was starting in the world of programming and I did not have any idea how to start. I begin to experiment, and I came to these conclusions.
1. A Text Editor
A text editor is a program that permits us to write code and develop our project, an example of a text editor can be Notepad that comes with the Operative System Windows. In this case, Notepad can be a too basic program, because exist others that permit us to create code faster, like Sublime Text or Atom.
2. Someone to teach you the basics
This part is important because if you want to start programming, you must gain knowledge of the programming language you want to learn. And it can be from YouTube, websites or a person who knows the subject. It is also important that you practice what you learned because it is a way of getting used to the syntax of the language you are learning.
3. Patience, a cup of coffee and long nights
It’s okay. If you got to this part, you had already figured out why. When you are programming, there will be some times when the code you write is not correct and you must return to verify it, and if the problem persists, you will have to repeat the procedure. And believe me, this is a headache, but once you find the solution, you will feel a sense of freedom and see that everything is going well.
