How to connect Google Photos to WordPress

Thanks to new CMS updates and the creation of new plugins, it is now possible to use your Google Photos images in WordPress. Using Worpress storage generally means that our site does not have a good optimization so the use of exclusive storage for resources, such as images and videos, is recommended.

To connect and use our Google Photos images in WordPress we must meet these requirements:

  1. Have the latest version of WordPress
  2. Have the JetPack plugin installed and well configured
  3. Have an account in wordpress.com
  4. Have a Google Account

Once you have all these requirements the process itself is easier.

The first thing to do is to open the Jetpack plugin, then click on the "Look more stately in WordPress.com" button, and then log in with the WordPress account you linked to Jetpack.

It should be emphasized that the Google Photos service, allows the storage of 15 GB of images in original quality, which serves as an alternative storage to that of WordPress. Likewise, the service allows you to upload your images from any device linked to your account, which will make it not necessary to have the specific device present at the time of wanting to add an image in a post.
